A successful 1st client

We were supposed to start this charity in earnest at the beginning of 2026. In November 2025, I received a call from a lovely lady who, by no fault of her, or her partners, found themselves in a desperate situation with personal, financial and medical problems. This lady, who has (along with her partner) a blen

ded family of 7 children had never asked for help before, and naturally was nervous to take that step and ask. We were the charity that she contacted and after an emergency trust meeting, we decided that we must help this family have the best Christmas they could have in their current situation.

We met this couple who were lovely people who were going through a very bad time and it was not a situation that they had found themselves in before.

Thanks to generous donations from people we work with, along with monetary donations and assistance from our suppliers, we were able to provide a total of 89 gifts in time for Christmas day and also provided gifts to the parents also. We also provided additional items to assist with security for their house.

Being able to help this family was probably the best present that we, the Trust members at The Gift Tree received this Christmas.

I want everybody to remember one thing - everybody is one bad decision, one bad piece of luck and one unforeseen circumstance away from being in a situation where they need help. There is no need to feel ashamed, embarrassed or feel judged. The reason charities like ours is out here is to help people like this lovely family. Who knows, we may be in this situation one day asking for help. As I said, nobody knows what the future holds.
